QUALIFIED VETERINARY NURSE CERT IV

Pictured with Gertie the Aussie Bulldog

Hi, I’m Dawn. I moved to Australia from the UK in 2007, beginning my veterinary nursing career with an equine vet in Victoria. After a three-month internship, I became an emergency nurse at the Animal Emergency Centre in Melbourne. This role exposed me to a wide range of situations and provided invaluable experience.

In 2009, I relocated to the Sunshine Coast and joined the Yandina Vet Clinic family, where I’ve been ever since. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for dedicated owners and their beloved pets throughout their lives. I love coming to work, seeing familiar faces and whiskers, and meeting new ones.

To stay fit, I enjoy hiking, running, and working out. My furry family includes my roommate Egg, a British Shorthair with zero social skills and a knack for breaking things, and my daughter’s “pocket puppies” and “chaos-potatoes”—hooded rats named Wednesday, Miso, Kiki, and Freida.
